Locality Boas and more

Happy, Healthy Herps

I have over 25 years of experience, and I produce my animals  with care, confidence and passion. I currently breed Hog Island Boas,  Caulker Cay Boas, Crawl Cay Boas, Pearl Island Boas, and several other  locality Boas. I also breed Ball Pythons, Crested  and Leopard Geckos,  and Solomon Island Skinks.

See My Boas In Person

I vend at some select local shows in St. Louis MO, as well as the NARBC and Daytona shows.  Save money and prevent stress-related illnesses by purchasing your herp in person. Shipping is also available if you're not able to make it to the show.  I also deliver depending on location.

My Boas Make Great Pets

I am not a large scale breeder. I prefer smaller breeding groups and use larger habitats to produce healthy, happy herps!

Why My Boas Are Special

Many Hog Island boas offered for sale from other breeders are crossed or "hybrids" of  common Red Tailed Boas.  I can guarantee pure blood lines with no crossing.  These are often marketed as Sunset Hogs or Sunset Boas, they are beautiful, but they are not pure Hog Island Boas. I am the Premier Hog Island Boa breeder in the St Louis area.  You will probably not find any other pure Hog breeders in the area.

About Hog Island Boas

The Hog Island boa was once thought to be extinct.  There are now said to be a low number of surviving specimens on the Hog Islands (a small  island  chain near the coast of Honduras). These snakes are a sub species of Boa  Constrictor Imperator (BCI) . They are naturally dwarf, hypo and usually  very  docile. Adults attain lengths of approximately 4.5 ft. These animals  also have the ability to change colors, at night they turn very pale,  and their pattern fades greatly. They resemble Boa Constrictor Imperator  (BCI), however have bright orange tails instead of red. They have faded  saddles, and pinks and silvers vs browns and tans. They are also much  smaller than standard BCI. Their small size is desirable to many because it makes them  cheaper to feed, and house. These snakes also have a very sweet  disposition and are easy to breed in captivity.
